Windows 10
I have the upgrade ready to launch, but I just cannot bear to do it. after almost 20 years in IT and telling folks to NEVER upgrade, I am at a crossroads! One of my employees has done the upgrade and said it was smooth...after two restarts, and he loves win10.
I guess I will try to get it upgraded this weekend...at least ALL of my games are on my second HDD hard drive.

a friend of mine told me about a tool to allow you to make install media for Windows 10. It is called the Microsoft Media Creation Tool. I have NOT used it, but I will be using it this coming weekend when I perform my upgrade to Windows 10.
Hope that this helps some out there.

I've used it and installed from it without an issue Michael... and I've also upgraded from Windows Update without an issue. Now, does that mean everyone is going to have a smooth go of it? Of course not.. we all know that everyone's PC is different and therefore, anything can happen. As always, before any major upgrade.. make sure everything of importance is backed up. But, I don't think I need to remind you since you're an IT guy like me. :)
Well, I stayed home with a migraine today so i decided to bite the bullet and do the upgrade.
I have to say that I am amazed that it went FLAWLESSLY! [which absolutely pains my IT heart to say!!] I am VERY impressed with the Windows Upgrade process. The tool would not work pre-upgrade, but it did work post-upgrade so that I was able to make install media for when I get a new SSD drive (what was I thinking getting a 128GB SSD!!).
Overall, it is nice, i have not delved into a lot of it...been testing games on it.

It was the best upgrade experience I ever had. Have to do it on this desktop soon.
