I am receiving Patch Manifest Error 209. Repair
for all those receiving this error (like me everytime we get a short update)
The Patch Manifest Error is usually the result of a corrupt or otherwise invalid manifest file for the launcher. This can be fixed by deleting the manifest file manually which will force the launcher to re-generate the manifest. Players can follow the steps below (based on operating system used) to locate and delete this file:
- Navigate to the Patcher's install folder (by default located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online \Launcher)
- Locate and delete the ProgramData folder
- Restart the launcher
- The launcher should now display "Creating Download." This is normal as the launcher begins the regeneration process. It can take anywhere between 21-30% before the launcher switches to "Downloading game files"
If your concern still exists after trying those steps, please try the following:
- Open your Launcher
- Look at the top right hand corner for your Launcher for your Settings Option(looks like a gear icon)
- Change Megaserver from NA to EU (or vice versa depending on which server you are usually on) and close out of the Launcher
- Open the Launcher back up and go back to Settings and change the Megaserver back to the original server you had it on.
- Again, close the Launcher.
- Now once you open your Launcher back up, your issues should be resolved and/or the game launcher should allow you to again update your game.
If these do not resolve the issue, players should uninstall and reinstall the game and then see if the issue has been corrected.
or my favorite work around and just goto the Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe and create a shortcut and add to desktop and launch game from that :)

I have been getting that a LOT lately as well. I deleted the ProgramData dir a couple of days ago and it never fixed it. I usually just quit the launcher and the button goes from Repair to Play. I actually repaired the patcher last night (re-downloading over 20GB of data) and then I got the error again today at lunch...
"Ours is not to reason why, Ours is but to do and die"
I get that, too. I don't bother taking action anymore. I just close it all, then reopen the launcher "run as administrator" and that usually lets me hit play fast enough.
Maybe I can save someone the headache I had because I kept getting Error 200 and couldn't launch ESO but if you have a MSI Motherboard or Killer Network Manager installed uncheck enable bandwidth control . For some reason it kept blocking my access to ESO and took me awhile since its a new motherboard and never had Killer Network before. I went ahead and uninstalled Killer Network since I saw no real use to it and just installed the LAN option.

This. :-D So far I've done it this way and the issue tends to go away all on it's own.

Xizor09, I have experience with Killer software as have their NIC's on two PC's. They work great, but I do disable the quality of service, bandwidth limiting part of the app. Also set your Upstream bandwidth in it to way higher than you actually have, or it will cap it and if your ISP upgrades you, it will hold you at the lower rate. I ran into that once.
