Minimum Ages for ESO and BoR

I wanted to clarify the issues around minimum ages for both ESO and also for the BoR.  We have not had many issues with that, but with the game's ESRB rating finalized now, it's time to make it clear.  The BoR prides itself on being a mostly family-friendly place to hang out as some members have children.  We usually don't curse in chat, but we also can't rule out the occasional adult topic being discussed.  Our members are primarily the 30+ crowd.

ESO Minimum Ages:

• To play ESO, you must be at least 17 years of age before creating your account OR must have a parent/guardian approve of your playing the game, and purchase the game and subscription for you.

BoR Minimum Ages:

Our long-standing minimum age has been 17 years old for many years, with some exceptions.  We fully understand that some 16 year olds can be more mature than some 30 year olds and that many of our members have teenage children.  To simplify the requirements, you may apply to join the BoR if you meet any of the following conditions:

• You will be age 17 or older on or before the date which you apply to join the BoR.
• You have a parent, guardian, or other relative who is already a member of the BoR and have your parents permission to apply to join us.

Any applicants who are under age 17 are always welcome to apply to join the BoR after they reach age 17.  We expect to be around in ESO for awhile.
